I just put one on this winter. I know guys that have tried to grease the bearings by hand and spent several hours picking and cleaning old hard grease out of the pto bearing side and then repacked by hand. After listening to what they went through doing this job it is worth it. If it helps me get more life out of my crank then I am happy but only time will tell now. I thought it was cheap insurance. I guess we will see.
