Bear Bangers

Anyone on here carry Bear Bangers (pen style pistol)

I've been looking for some cartridges for work as our field techs carry spray and bangers. I located 6 pack cartidges at Acklands but I also know that acklands is great for having everything you could possibly need but you pay thru the azz for that convienience. Anyone know other places that carry the shells???

Those bangs do not go very far compared to the industrial rim fir that Midfield in Whitecourt sells. There is about 20-30m difference and the same price and yes they sell rim and centre fir pens foun out the wrong way.

Only when your dumb enough to shoot them into the air.

Anybody who has used a bear banger and had ANY training at all knows you fire them into the ground between you and the bear.

I found out that they do not work very well for lighting flare stacks either. Midfield, Acklands or Northern Metallic should have them.

Our supervisors are aware of this and ensure the guys are properly trained in thier use...

Have you tried Gregg's? Even if they do not stock them they will bring them in for you and if the demand is there they will in-turn stock them for you.

Boog I have the exact same ones you posted in the pic I carry on my quad I get them at wholesale sports if I remember it is almost the same price to buy them with the launcher then it is to just buy the cartridges

Used to be able to get them at Canadian tire. I know Cabella's on the South side has them, camper village usually stocks them same as wholesale sports. Any gun shop will have them also.

I'm thinking that if they were named safety flares MEC may carry them but it they were called bear bangers MEC may think they could be somehow dangerous to bears and wouldn't carry them....
