BCA Radio question...

Hey all, just curious if anybody has found or tried a longer antenna on their BCA Radio to get longer range ? Thanks all

I've put some on the ones I have. Did not purchase from Ray. Seemed to get better range.
RGM on here should be able to tell you which ones to get.

He's talking about the bca Frs gmrs radio not the baufang

Pretty sure you can't change them But if you can you want one designed for UHF

Thanks RGM !!! Thinking you can't cause they look like they are internally hooked but hey never hurts to ask ....

Unless they have changed the design, no you cannot, plus they are max 1 watt so you would not be gaining much if anything by going to a longer whip.

Longer antenna improves reception more so than transmission.
Unless they have changed the design, no you cannot, plus they are max 1 watt so you would not be gaining much if anything by going to a longer whip.
