Do these work really well for any application. I have never had o e but looking to buy some for our drilling team so they have communication. Renting some right now to see how it works. Different brand tho

Thanks Lyle. Just ordered one to match the other one I have. The older versions didn’t last long and I have one of those still remaining and it is acting up.

Not sure if the new BCA radios have a PTT button other than on the mic, we had a situation where a guy in our group got stuck and couldn't radio us. We looked for couple hrs before finding him. Turned out one of the wires to the mic was broken inside the coating when he got snagged in the trees. Couldn't transmit anymore.

You can also use a Baofeng radio with the BCA frequencies programmed into it--

I have Two Baofeng radios and they are great, The new BCA 2.0 are a big improvement over the old ones. They made the mic’s waterproof so no cover needed. On my recent trip to vale,Kyle had two of these and I had two Baofeng . We used his radios and I was so impressed with the BCA i bought one too use when the group has mostly BCA. There simple and worked very well for us. I will always carry one of each from now on.

And yes I have a list of frequency’s to connect Baofeng with BCA , they work well together
