A state of emergency on top of a state of emergency??
The state of emergency for COVID hasn't yet been lifted and now Horgan has drummed up another state of emergency!! It wi ll be interesting to read the fine print later on today about the "new travel restrictions" he is talking about so that the supply chains don't get disrupted.
UPDATE: 12:55 p.m.
Premier John Horgan announced Wednesday the province is declaring a state of emergency effective at noon, in response to the widespread flooding and mudslides.
Horgan said new travel restrictions will be put in place to prioritize supply chains and the transportation of goods across the province.
Minister of Public Safety Mike Farnworth said extraordinary measures will be required to respond to the natural disaster, which the state of emergency will allow for.
Horgan also urged British Columbians not to hoard groceries and other supplies.
