BC family ride vale or mcbride?

Just wondering which one is better for a family ride without the avy alley stuff,of course we are fully equipped and trained fully geared up and pay our trail fees....just want a good trail in and watch the pros from a safe distance? Thanks in advance for your opinion!

How old and what Experience levels?
Personally I would do Belle and Renshaw.
The Renshaw trail can be long and rough. But take your time. It has a large open area near the cabin to play on. And plenty of riding withing going into the Backside.
Belle is relatively an easy hill. Offers multiple flat meadows to play in. Once ontop of little Belle wife and kids will have a blast.

I'm not a fan of Lucille. Simply because we always end up on a sucker trail and someone does damage. But lots of families enjoy Lucille as well

I always thought Bell in McBride was a family friendly ride area. Short trail ride in and nice easy riding from cabin.

We are a family of riders,but not much winter high mountain sledding, youngest of us is 13.

Allan Creek has lots of gentle/newbie friendly terrain around the cabin. 8km from the parking lots and its a fairly easy ride up.

For 9 years in a row we did family day weekend with 2 other families.
Kids ranged from 8-13 when we started.
Rode Climina, Belle, Lucille and Renshaw.
Always tried to leave cabin by 3PM to miss mogul ride out.
The length of rde in never mattered as they loved the scenery, just stopped accordingly for group checkups about every 5-8km.
Rode Lucille the most mainly because we used to rent all of the Cougars Den cabins and not have to trailer sleds.
Renshaw is a biotch for kids if you stay to long and they have to ride 28km of whoops, but they all like that ride in/out.for the scenery.
Kids will have a great time in a lot less area than an adult, dont push to far to soon.
EVERY day had a fire and wiener roast with jiffy pop for dessert.
Always extra gloves, socks, balaclavas and food treats/juice drinks.
My girls are now 20, 23 and 25. All still talk about the trips they did with their cousins and all are still sledding together.
Only prequalifier is a cabin at an area in case they get cold.
Keep the terrain simple, they will NEVER come off of a mountain disappointed. You dont have to scare the chit out of them, lame to you may be aggressive to them.

You will have a great time and great memories!

Pretty cool bringing the family into the backcountry sledding quading hiking etc to let them get to experience it. Pretty much the same story as snochuck. Pick areas safe and fun for everyone. Our boys were 8 & 10 before experiencing the mountains on sleds and now are sanctioned trips at 21 & 23. There’s areas that we just quit riding simply to keep everyone safe but to still get the experience. We rode lots of chappel Allen clemina Renshaw Lucille are all great family rides. Don’t forget the campfires, kids will love and talk about that with their kids to come!

You would have to take the Wedge past the saddle, or do the Dores or Forgetmenot.
Or maybe you are just fearless....
But yes lots of big open areas also.
