How's the transmit button on the new mic's? I seem to push it with my arm a lot when moving around on my sled. Are they a lower profile or maybe stiffer spring in them?

If you are referring to the BridgeCom mic, I would say it would the worst for easily pressing transmitting button. Kenwood seems the most stiff of all the mic's I have.

So i got a chance to us my BF-F8HP this weekend in revy and i did have one issue. i programmed in the BCA channels and then it shut off. once i got to the frisby cabin i turned the knob and it came back on and then worked perfect all day. We were about 15km back in frisby past the green tower and i was talking to a guy in Keystone clear as a bell and he had the same radio. I was really impressed.

Impressive was that in a BCA (UHF) frequency or something in the VHF ham band?

We just ordered 3 radios today, I’m wondering if you sent them out with the new style mics you had on order?

Are the new mics worth upgrading to?, or wait till it the original needs replacing.

Just wait if it needs replacing. I will always be looking for better mics anyways. I am going to be testing some dual PTT ones in the new year.
