I watched a YouTube video and was able to get it programmed from there. I'm also not very tech savvy.

What are the best channels to use? Bca has more power on a few I thought.

Those appear to be the FRS/GMRS channels

Reviving an old thread.
in order to program these channels, CHIRP needs to be used correct?
my buddy has one of these radios, using FRS 5 and FRS 10. Im assuming when his was programmed, that means BCA channels 5&10?
his works with the bca radios.
thanks

You can manually program channels but it is a PITA and you can't name the channels. You need a programming cable and a image file to upload for chirp. With out programming your radio is basically a brick.
