I dont know why this is an argument. If the logging contractor does not have a issue with sleds being in contact with them while travelling on the road, than who cares. Using a Beofeng radio without a license is illegal as well.

I was just pointing this out for someone that ligit doesn't know.
Dave's videos have a far reach, don't need meatheads bombing down logging road on a sled at 80km/hr with a radio they can't hear anyways.

Yep, certain instances these radios can assist and aid in a situation, like the examples given above. It does not mean it will make a habit out of it.
