Bad glue

Approx 600km on 2014 pro 800 and upper structure carbon tube glue let go left side, checked because my buddy's 2014 pro was making a clicking sound turns out the left side tube glue had let go, full of grey dust and while turning bars with hood off could watch tube move. This is day after he had to replace right side lower a arm after tube pulled out. He found this out because his two sleds wouldn't fit next to each other on the deck. Does anyone make a aftermarket upper structure or a good set of welded a arms?

can install 08-12 a-arms i believe. Put '12 over structure in if ur concerned. Havent had ne issues around here.

What did he hit? And dont say he was just riding down a trail when it happened. lol

Overstructures from past models are the same but to put pre 13 a arms on you need longer shocks. Plenty of aftermarket a arms available though.

Neither of us are hard riders, no jumping etc just noticed a clicking sound and decided to check sleds over.

I had the glue fail on the lower front overstructure which resulted in me breaking the upper rear overstructure casting due to the increased leverage/movement. Took my dealer about a week of back and forth with Polaris but finally they covered it but with a qualifying statement that it was not being covered as a warrenty item, but being replaced as an act of goodwill - whatever. I have a great dealer though and they pulled an entire overstructure off one of their stock sleds and had me up and running in a day while they dealt with Polaris.

I would not be paying for it if the glue failed. That is what warranty is for. When it is glued properly there is no issue. However if you go in there with a broken steering post and bent rails they might not want to warranty it.

I had the Glue pull on a lower control arm as well, I bought it before any damage was done and Polaris warrantied it as well (goodwill).
IMHO it is not the glue that is breaking down, it is water and snow getting into the A Arm from the two holes at the end closest to the bulkhead once they are full of water after letting the machine warm up in the garage and take it out the next day the water freezes and forces the A Arm apart popping the glue free, when i brought my sled home and let it warm up, i took the A Arm off and i poured out about 1/2 cup of water out of the tube that the glue let go, the new A Arm from Polaris does NOT have these holes in them(wonder why). I put a dab of silicon on the old one and drilled threw the glue injection holes and put a grade 8 bolt threw, no problems since.

I think there's a clamp for that! And I am being serious not an azzhole. I seen it in another post. It could of been made bye in between the lines designs

mine is the other 14, did not hit anything , tree riding . no jumps and good snow coverage , glue failed in the a-arm (stabilizer bar side RH a-arm) as well the lh post on the upper structure (steering side) came apart , im thinking that the steering linkage being connected on that side causes that upper support to absorb some steering force and after time breaks the glue loose. i was hoping that a billet steering bushing kit from OFT racing will help as well a cross brace between the upper structures would fix the problem but by the time i add all the weight i might as well just go to the 2012 upper structure, have 3 2012s in our group with HARD riding on them rocks,logs,big drops, jumps, endless pounding through whoops, and they have no signs of coming apart.
