Another vote for the Dakine Heli Pro II. I've been running one for 5yrs. Has held up great, and is a great pack, with lots of space. Use it for mountain biking in the summer too. It's plumbed for a bladder system as well.

If you're looking for a decent sized pack that's not huge, I'd say HMK. I have used it for 3 years now and it has held up awesome. No rips, holes or tears, it still looks great. And I'm one of those people who is always in and under trees, lots of chances for it to rip. They use a heavy canvas type material that is really tough, and the bottom is rubber so also tough and doesn't leak when you set it on the snow. It's not quite big enough for my husband, so he uses a Dakine pack and loves it. But I doubt it will last as long as my HMK pack

Picked up a Dakine Heli Pro 2 today. Looks like there will be lots of room for everything. Just have to get out and use it now. I likely won't be going to the mountains until I get a bit more experience, so this should be good for now. Was actually on sale for $20 less at Totem Outfitters. They had Heli Pro's as well (16L I think) for $90, but it was definately a smaller bag.

I picked on up at Martin Motor sport they have different sizes I picked up a 22liter it is designed for sledding I paid $110 it works great carries what I need even if I have to spend the night on the hill. For the life of me I can't remember the Brand and I don't have it here at home but they are very well built.

BRP is the brand probably. I have two bags/back packs from BRP...a nice size avy pack with lots of storage and a larger pack that can clip to my tunnel and turns into a back pack also! Lots or stortage...$100 and $160 I think...

Dakine Heli Pro here too. Got mine at Totem Outfitters.

Shovel pouch, handle straps, spare goggle compartment, espresso machine and flush toilet. What more could you want in a backpack.

no more plumbing for you D you reached your quota last year w/the gas line:d

I've got an Asolo pack. This one has all the outside storages for shovel and probe, so you don't have to open the bag. Has tons of little storage pockets. Also has a pull over that come out of the bottom and wraps the whole bag to keep the snow off of it, which is pulled by a simple string like your gloves, for fast access. Very nice to wear. Holds a ton of stuff, and I carry everything to stay overnight or to get sled out of the hills. Even with the bit of weight, I really don't even know it is there.
