My first used sled was $400...

A Faded Green Ski-rula 250cc air colded single cylinder with 17 1/2 hp baby...

They came with a long track back in the day... lol .

40 years of riding,,, breaking and fixing,,, We drank alot back then...

Lost,,, cross threaded and side-ways...

And now it costs $14 k out the door too find places beyond...

My 04 Rev was a few bucks over 14 OTD with the extras like gas can, tarp and can. My wife’s 17 was a bit over 17 OTD and my 22 turbo 175 was 23,999 OTD. bought my son a used 19 850 with 1800km on it for 9. That was probably the best deal on a sled I’ve had. It’s got 4400ish on it but did a full tear down last fall and rebuilt everything.

2019 FreeRide was 19k
2023 turbo was 24k

But in 2014 you could only dream of the sleds we buy out of the showroom now… life’s good, not cheap but good!

I bought 2 new, old model sleds for under $10k a 2007 bought new in 2009, and a 2012 bought new in 2013....those were the good old days

My 18 153 mountain cat was $15,700 tax in cash out the door. 19 alpha 165 was about $17k tax in. My 23 turbo r expert was $26 k tax in on the bill of sale the guy gave me when I bought it off him. Just going up and up and up lol. My 19 alpha turned turbo however is about $30k total now into it and it barely keeps up with my stock turbo r so when I think of it like that it’s not so bad lol

True story. They had so many leftover cats. It took two years to sell them all at less than cost.

I got my 16 cat for 11,200 out the door with spare belt, travel cover, skid plate, steel gears. New sled prices are stoopid

I agree with you 100%. I was thinking about something new but just can't justify that kind of cash for something I use twice a year. I going to buy a street bike instead, way more opportunity to use it through the summer.
