I have been looking for an older post about what are some of the basics needs in a back pack. I saw it earlier this fall but cant find it. Can someone re-post the link to that thread again. Kinda handy... as there were pictures. Everyone has their own opinion on this, but its still nice to see, and Im getting my frist pack together and I know Im missing some stuff. Thanks in advance... :d

i perfer beer and fireball, do like the bags of wine outa the box for a change-up. Rootbeer shnaps is pretty good and you cant forget the Jager!!! Vodka infused "Fuzz" drinks were kinda tastey, but stay away from the red-bull vodkas they are dangerous!!!!

Oh and basic tools, level 1 first aid kit, fire starter, and emergency rations

And someone who knows how to use that stuff while your pissed to the gills by the fire!!!

I leave my keys in a strategically placed location on/around the vehicle and let everyone I'm with know where they are, in case I don't come back with the group....scary scenario but I have seen the results of a dude lost overnight and his buddy had no keys, no way to get help, or get to town. he had to break into buddy's truck and smash the steering column to get to town for help. by that time it was too late for S&R to conduct a search because of darkness, and buddy spent the night on the mountain with a broken neck....thank God he survived.

Could be a very scary scenario but my man and I also do this. :(

Leave all the fancy firestarter crap at home, get a flint stick and some cotton or tampons.
