Two restaurants closed in Revelstoke due to confirmed Covid exposure dating to November 11 .Craft Bierhaus and Taco Club are deep cleaning and awaiting word from authorities. Meanwhile the skihill will be limiting gondola passengers to six per car ? WTF. Perhaps we will inevitably see a dreadlock deodorizing kiosk in Revelstoke.

Im a memder of a club in BC.I asked them if they have heard anything about travel restrictions and how it looks for out of province members/riders. They have not recieved anything on this matter from the Tourism Board or Rec Site or Trails BC other than Covid quidelines for Cabins and keeping thier staff safe. They are open for the season.
I would think all the international flights coming into Vancouver would be more of a concern than some Canadians driving across the BC border to enjoy the outdoors and support local communities. Sledding in the hills is about as social distance as you can get if you stay out of the cabins. Crazy times in this country and common sense seems to be MIA.

Doesn’t say ‘illegal’ and I am following their recommendation by staying outside.

I’ve seen everything I need to.

Its unfortunate, but in my opinion a civil war at this point is the only way to make things better. More than just Covid needs fixing.

Perhaps a civil war isn’t a good place to start, but what about a planned convoy for sledders from various parts of the province (IE group leaving from Calgary and group leaving from Edm) all travelling the 16 and 1 together headed for the hills. Showing just how much of a boost our province and sport gives to BC.

Or maybe that would draw all the wrong kinda attention??

Funny that they still put their hand out for donations from Alberta's businesses but have no support for said Albertans when it come to there concerns about memberships and issues with travel and vandalism

Clubs are told by the Ministry of sports and Tourism what they can and can not do. They approve the management agreements. Doesn't matter what board members believe.

Don't like the decisions the directors make then step up and take over. That's the way it works, you have that right as a member.

Worst case is the Ministry pulls the agreements and they can. Then try and get it back, not happening under this government.

Not sure what you are talking about? I'm talking about refunding memberships when travel is restricted (or pushing meberships to the following year or partial discounts on future years based on the time of year the season is canceled) or coming out and saying something about vandalism and confrontations in parking lots should it still be legal to travel. Some support for the out of town sledders would be nice but When asked about issues they seem to be silent. Some communication would be nice. I'm well aware of what they cannot control and am not suggesting they break the law. Just some more communication would be nice, considering the vast amount of money over the years is from out of town.

6 hanging on the outside of the car should be safe.

what about all the trucking convoys that went across the country already? They accomplished nothing. We need to keep our sledding options open. But this goes far beyond that. We need to shutdown the socialism agenda outside sledding. We need to keep all our freedoms and not let them be taken away by the liberals or the agenda of COVID. How else do you propose we do this?
