We are phucking dummies if we let this happen. We need to stand up and fight. I was listening to radio talk radio about Trudeau and The shredding of all the documents demanded by the courts. I’m losing respect for the law, the government, the military, where are they. While Canadians dillydally with complacency our current country is being taken over by criminal organizations

Smith just had a caller questioning that whole debacle

I was likely not "close contact" but if anyone at that event was it would have been me. I could not guarantee 100% that I was not "close contact" so it would have been irresponsible of me to just assume and ignore. Obviously our protocols were good as there was zero transmission from our event but I was erring on the side of caution. From now on I will be much more careful to maintain physical distance when socializing so that if anyone else I know gets it I can confidently and with certainty claim I was not a "close contact"

So Im curious, what was the supposed close contact?? Being in the same room within 6ft, or being in that room after a set amount of time that person was previously in there???

I have a question for everyone. Does anyone else feel the masks are another reason for the cases going up???

Respirators filter out particulate, N95 etc.
If the people in charge were worried about heavy particles or aerosols mist transmission, thats what a p-100 vapor cartridge is used for.
Take a balaclava for instance when that gets wet, if a person touches the outside of the mask and contaminates the outside, is it possible to inhale contaminated droplet?

How may people used a n-95 for painting???
When I did my n-95 fit test I thought the test was BS, she was spraying a mist inside the hood and she kept asking if I could taste it, I know I had I good seal but I could still taste it faintly.
Masks definitely make you touch your face more, if a mask wearer has covid fingers and puts a mask on, that person may or may not contaminate their mask or touch there eyes etc.

I still believe, personal hygiene, and giving people their space is important, but these masks really have me wondering.

I spent more than 15 mintutes with the individual, did our best to maintain physical distance but I know it wasn't 100% of the time was not wearing a mask. We were standing around shooting the chit, having a couple beers, laughing, joking and just catching up. Had we been wearing masks I could have confidently said I was not close contact. But AHS even changed their definition of close contact to say that "even if your wearing a mask being within 6ft for more than 15 minutes with a confirmed positive case is close contact"

Interesting information. N95 mask change the result of close contact? Or both wearing a mask at all times?

Paranoid? Come on, really? The cops are nowhere to be seen when they believe that they will catch Covid from the people they pull over. I have been going to and from B.C. every 2 weeks for the last 3 years. Not once has there been an issue or have the police or locals been interested in me. Only if it becomes law to keep Albertans out and that will only happen if a Federal emergency is called. The restaurants that openly promoted that Albertans were not welcome are now banned by me, even though they are now advertising that they are open and welcoming all back. You can stay home if you want and leave fresh snow for the rest of us.
So have I and for 9 years before that as well, what does 3 years ago have to do with now???? Last march when this crap started they were pulling over every vehicle they saw with more than one passenger, ticketing if passengers werent from same household, restaurants all closed due to covid bull**** so werent open to serve anybody let alone Albertans, hotels closed, or went down to diminished capacity, no grooming, cabins locked up and parking lots not cleared. What part of that works for sled trips???? If the government shuts them all down, which is a very real possibility, then that sure puts a damper on sledding dont ya think. I have no house there, i know nobody with a house there so basically SOL, you comprende??? I was in BC this summer when **** was lifted and all good, it was fine, but good ol Horgan is gonna screw the pooch again and probably worse than last spring

which is great news for us guys who like to ride and dont care if the trail is fawked or a highway.

more pow for the real riders!
All fine and good, i ride lots of non maintained areas, that doesnt make you special LOL, but when there is nowhere to park as parking lots are closed due to govt enforcement and not cleared it becomes an issue. We can't ride from Valemount really, same with Mcbride. Couple areas in Blue a guy can but not my usual spots to go.

Uh am I missing something where you are riding non maintained areas with maintained parking lots? The two don't usually go hand in hand.

Salmon lakes, westridge to name a couple. Ride oasis a bit, that parking area is tiny and plowed usually. Foam is sometimes maintained, sometimes not. We dont have a ton of non maintained areas up where i ride, we ride them a bit, but all have parking lots for the most part. Westridge can be accessed from Valemount but i hate westridge, snow usually sucks compared to farther south. there is a few areas that can be accessed from Blue river that arent maintained but I have never been to them. Guess i shouldnt say lots of areas but I have ridden those areas lots

ah I see yeah a bit of a grey area where you are riding an unmaintained area through a maintained area. Kind of like Turtle. Most of the unmaintained areas here just have a spot on the FSR to park.

My travel has and is still going on. I was there in March, April, May etc. and I am going tomorrow too. The only thing we saw was a few places shut down but it was short lived. We had more than 1 person in the vehicle every trip. Saw many hotels open through it too.

In them hills.
Because I was a "close contact of a confirmed case" my test results were irrelevant AHS enforces a manditory 14 day isolation when there is contact with a confirmed positive case..... I don't agree with it, once I got my negative test I should have been good to go and it would have saved me a week away from work. It just proves to me that they have zero confidence in the reliability of thier tests.
Saturday - Event with Potential close contact
Sunday - Individual was informed by their workplace of a coworker positive case
Wednesday - Individual received positive test result & contacted myself and others at the event on Saturday - Removed myself from work
Thursday - Tested at 1pm
Saturday - Received negative test confirmation BUT... AHS enforceable isolation in effect for 7 more days
And then they wonder why people don't tell the contact tracers anything.

I’m leaving tomorrow also. Might get a sled ride in but need to do some snow cat work. My travel plans didn’t change through the whole thing and have only been welcomed where ever I have stopped.
