Axys Twin Pipes

Just wondering if anyone knows why aftermarket exhaust manufacturers don’t make twin pipes anymore?? Is it room restrictions or the fact a single pipe is lighter and can produce equal power?

No doubt there's a little more power to be made with twins but look at it. There's no room.

That looks like a Pro not Axys. Still an impressive bit of sculpture .

Simple economics. There is no money in developing a twin pipe kit when anyone looking for real power goes to a turbo anyway.

Neil is an artist, just gorgeous work.

In addition to the space and cost I think that a lot of guys just aren't interested to trying to tune for twin pipes anymore either. They prefer a bolt on single or single that comes with a basemap tune.

Yup, thats why i went with a single. If i had more time i would love to try twins though. Have twins on both my edge chassis and wouldnt have it any other way.

The Polaris AXYS MOD 1000 hillclimb sleds had twin pipes this year. would Backus make them?

They are still in production and are going to be sick !!!! I talked to them yesterday mid Jan they say, I have 3 sets coming, they are just for the 850 tho.

If you are looking for twins for an 800 axys, i would suggest neils power pipes.

I’ll be looking for twins for an 850...was going to get a can ordered up but I’m thinking I’ll wait for the twins...

sign me me up for a set chrisco....if they all haven’t been spoken for already.

I placed a order on a set of twins from SLP called outlaws. They sent me a email afterwards saying that the pipes are still in the R&D process and will be available shortly. I imagine the pipes will be coming with clutching and programming for fuel delivery.
