Didn't your 14 etec get a top end at about that km?
And aren't you trying to get a top end in your 16 etec with about that km too?
That's what I asked

4300 km??? Rebuild... And what was done

Ya my 14 had top end at 5000 km under warranty cause Dale wanted too

Crank was done at 8500 km with 5.5 tho runout, which it had at 5000 km, but wanted to get crank done just before warranty was up

Tried to get top end on my 16, with 5600 km, but they won't do it

none of these dam stealerships wana do **** these days unless your sleds right bugard up!

Ya I hear ya, the old school ones were the chit, he asked how many km, said 5000, he said there past spec already

He said do ya like to walk out, said nope, said well then I'll put pistons in, when he took it apart one was just past spec and other was little more past spec

sure would be nice if that type of service still existed.....thing of the past now.

You are just stealing half of my story and adding it to yours.

My wife's 16 has 5000km - Maybe I should check compression... Did motor mounts and a clutch rebuild. Replaced relays.
Our 17 had 4200km when I sold it- One top end under warranty. Reed broke and sucked through the motor
Our 18 has 3000km - No issues yet...

Kinda glad I didn't end up getting a 19 850. Sounds like they have fixed all the issues for 2020. We will see.

We just bougt an 18 with 3800km, but it still has 2 years warranty so if its gonna blow i have 2 years to do it. Our 12 has almost 6000 and the top end & fix kit weren't done until 5800km so it should be good for another 6000 now.

Gotta say boys, after reading this thread I am sorta wanting to go with a 19/20 800 and save some $$

Im coming off a 13 pro right now, I’m sure the jump to 800 HO and axys chassis with react will keep me happy lol

Call Tim at cycleworks acheson.They have a few 2019 800 163 LE for $11299. great deal.

I went from a ‘15 pro to a ‘19 800 and it’s a night and day difference I have a 163 with the 2.6 track and it goes through waaayyy more than my old 155, 2.4 did. The react front end makes it a lot easier to pull it over and to go from a left to a right carve. Love it, it’s a great machine!

As I recall, the two weaknesses of the 800 Axys Pro generation:
-electrical relays fail, or the socket they plug into gets too dirty. Either way, bring spare relays and be prepared to swap them and clean the contacts. I never had this problem personally.
-exhaust temp sensor failure. Bring a spare. I had this problem, was able to limp sled home and buddy had a spare sensor in truck. Luckily I wasn't in an area that required full power to get back home.

Electrical issue with relays was 2016. Have never had an exhaust thermocouple pile up on any of my sleds. Now TSS failure that’s real. Buy a TSS delete and keep it in your sled. If you don’t use it some else will.

that’s what I like to hear, mine pro is. 163 3”. I’m wanting to get a 2.6 then do 3” conversion.

but now I’m seriously contemplating khaos then do 163 3” with ice age rails etc

Went from a 12 pro 163 2.4" to a 17 axys 155 2.6" and the 155 axys will easily go anywhere that 163 pro would have, and way more fun to ride. Almost 4000km on mine now and motor is still strong. I think my next sled will have to be a 163 khaos though

The 18+ 800’s are the motors to go with if you can. The improved cooling is noticed and not running a snow flap for two years and not one over temp even on icy trails in.

The clutching for the 155 2.6 isn’t horrible, I actually felt like it was one of the best stock sleds I have had. Once you get into a 163 and especially a 3” you are going to be gearing down and clutching. The 800 spins really quick with its light weight crank and is a little harder on primary bushings than the 850’s but nothing out of the ordinary.

The 19+ gets the React, and there were 800 Khaos available in 20 which is probably the best bang for your buck if you can find a left over.

I got a bunch of these relays in stock at a good price if there are guys wanting to change them out.
