I received this email from Stan Spencer of Backcountry Sled Patriots. It's nice to see an alternative view of wilderness areas and pretty much discredits the hype and misinformation put out by the so called conservation groups. While the video is about the Pallisades wilderness in Wyoming it certainly applies to Alberta and BC lands as well. If we are locked out and forced into smaller concentrated areas for motorized recreation that is when problems start to arise from overuse. I forwarded the email to Environment minister Jason Nixon as well. I hope he looks at it and rescinds some of the damage the NDP did to recreationists when they created wilderness areas to please their friends in Y2Y and the wilderness associations.
The following link will put you onto an excellent video about uses in the Palisades WSA in Wy. It could apply to any WSA or RWA in Montana or Idaho. Think Great Burn RWA, Sapphire or Ten Lakes WSA for example.
