Dammit. There is way to many of these. Makes you second guess every trip out you take despite all the training and gear you get.

I was at the Banff film festival and one of the entrys was about the guide that was involved in a skiing accident out in revy in 03 that took 7 lives. He said your not taking training to make a mountain safe. It will never be safe. you can just do your best to make the experiance a little more safe.

Condolences to the people involved.

I still can't believe it. Condolences to Debbie, and all the family and friends John left behind. Quite a few of members on here have rode with John, and he was not a highmarker, or a hillclimber at all. Whenever he rode with us he loved to explore, but had no interest in highmarking or climbing at all. He would just sit, watch and enjoy the day until it was time to head to a different area. We've lost another very safe responsible rider to the hand of fate. RIP John.

Condolences to John's family, friends and the people that were with him that sad day, your all hero's even though he didn't make it. Not sure if he was a member of snowandmud or not. I see he was from Grande Cache which is a small community which everyone knows everyone.
