average mileage for doo motor!

I had over 8000 km on my 08 before sending engine to John at SHR for a new top and bottem end....it was still running strong though

Now it will go down 15 times before It hits 8000km again. Shr motors are crap found out the hard way

Over 2000 on new motor, running good, i know lots of people running his 860r without any troubles. I went with mcb dual ring pistons, new crank bearings and crank balancing. 145 psi of both sides. No complaints so far

Lucky. Had john build me a brand new 860 with new crank. Crank went out of phase, then the top end was all scored after 1500', then one of the crank bearings went, then a rod bearing went, took out the top end, the sled never ran better than stock and used 3x the fuel it did before. Sounds like I got a dud. It did run smooth though when it did run. Never had the motor out of a sled so many friggn times.
