Average 1998 cr250 price?

Looking at getting a dirt bike, and i found a kijiji ad in my area for a 1998 cr250.

The guy has it listed for 3000$. That just feels obscene for a 19 year old bike. I personally would say 1000$ tops if that, but i figure it would be a good idea to ask you guys if the listed price is fair, or what you guys think would be a good offer.

2 grand canadian max for that bike. 98 to 01 same bike. Look for a 01.

There's one at the Lethbridge dealer that belonged to one of the mechanics there and it is IMMACULATE. completely rebuilt, probably in the range of 2g of parts, hubs, brakes, tires, motor top to bottom, etc. listed for 2500$. That one is worth it, this one not so much.
