RIP and my condolences to the family of the victim
you have to stay off of the hills rite now, we had a wicked day at allen today got stuck and dug all day and it was very safe, there was no chance of anything falling on us but we did watch a bunch of mods climbing a few hills in the afternoon and shook our head and left the area before anything could have happened.

condolences to the victims family, friends and the people that were with him in valemount. That is the worst thing to experience and I hope no one ever has to endure this as a family or as a group of sledders. It's getting tough on the sport lateley, please ride responsively and come home alive people.

Again I feel for the family and friends involved. I have to add though is come on guys we are just human, we are not invincible. I did a mid week ride with Lococoin this week and they were hesitant to come because of the avy conditions. I told them I would take them to only safe places and that's what we did. We only rode in the lower creek and cut block areas of Climina and had a blast. This isn't the year to be playing on the steep slopes.

Any where there is snow
This season is starting to leave a sick feeling in my stomach. I can't even begin to comprehend what the families of the avy victims are feeling. Perhaps this is the season to stay of the steep and deep and start to explore the meadows or explore those trails closer to home (Alberta Area) or even go and explore what Saskatchewan has to offer!! Now there is a thought.

My condolences to the family and friends. This is just happening way to much lately. We all need to stop and look at the big picture ,the mountains will still be there next year.Maybe this is the year to play on the flats. As much fun as the mountain thrill riding is, its better to put the safety first before the thrill.

They were at the actual "Hillclimb" in Clemina. They used to have competitions there every year. A very steep slope that was an obvious avalanche risk.

PLEASE GUYS, there are so many SAFE places to ride in these same mountains. Don't take those chances, it's just not worth it.

Hill climb is behind the cabin(south) and up through the cutblocks. You can access Bauers from the hill climb trail, its to the west of hill climb.

Has anyaone heard any more details on this latest tragedy? Details seem to be slow to be released this time -- maybe just because it is way too close to home.

Thanks,

Marie

Play safe and make it back alive!
