The first avy was at Trout Lake last year. West facing slope and really steep. The mountain road (Narrow) was all it took for the trap. Really glad he was OK.

Almost looks like he could have rode it out….
But then I watched it in 1080p and you can see he bails because the sled hit a drift or a buried rock ....or something like that.

What would you do if you were in that situation?
Throttle?

my opinion... it was slow enough and if a guy was aware enough, bail at the top and swim up... rather be at the top than the bottom. Always been told if your at the top you want to stay at the top. let the sled figure its own way down. That video showed quit a bit of trees who knows what throttle would have done for yea there.
