Has anyone gone to the Ski-doo events? Is it worth the trip or is it just a sales thing?

I have attended 3-4 of the Martins events over the last couple years. Guaranteed you'll learn a thing or two.

It's a great refresher, or a great eye opener for those without prior training. Marshall Dempster has been running the Canadian stops on the tour, and he's incredibly knowledgeable, and fanatic at what he does. Definitely not a dry safety course.

Obviously the dealerships want to sell you stuff before / after too, but the free avy content is worth a a couple hours of your life if you're close.

I think it is definitely worth the time. Good refresher and a person will learn a thing or two. Wasn't pressured into buying anything. Dealer had a couple draws with no string attached. If you were looking to buy something they had discounts on parts and accessories.

Most dealerships run their fall open houses to coincide with the course so usually there deals on if you choose to buy something. I dont think anyone is forcing anyone to buy something. Doo covers the cost of the course and they like others have said keep avalanche awareness forefront in your mind.
