Yes. Only 1% of Canadian households have electricity.
Yes thats its genius, when our power grid in Alberta goes dark due to too much demand from all the "EV" garbage and not enough power in reserve yes maybe 1% will have power, and unless your sleeping with that booze hag notley you wont be one....... unless you got one f*ck of a generator that is and that defeats the purpose of your "green" initiative. Our grid is way over taxed, every single day we are bringing in between 500-1000MW an hour from bc, sask and montana through the tie lines and thats on normal average temperature days. Way more on high power usage days like when its -40 or +30 type temps. It used to be we rarely used the tie lines, generally only when there was a major outage of a plant or extreme high usage days, ie. Extreme Hot or cold temps. Our province has phazed out way too much coal power and has replaced barely any. Currently the tie line is active, and has been every day this year. Wind is one of the culprits thats not pulling its weight with an average of roughly 5% of capacity, yesterday wind was producing 13MW of a possible 1781MW.........lol amazing hey, hydro is a bit better but same, 170MW of a possible 900MW, coal was basically at max with 2600MW produced, 5 years ago coal before the phaze out produced 4600MW an hour. Gas and co-gen are supposed to replace coal but of the 10 or so proposed power plants from 6 years ago, 1 is in construction and the others still havent gotten approval. One coal plant has been retro'd for gas and is running at 600MW but thats all. Solar accounts for a whopping 35MW to the grid at full capacity, so only at daytime and sunny days, thats a viable option of green power lmfao. I play the power game every damn day, and its getting to the point where the grid is very unstable. They ( government) will tell you all the excuses in the book why blackouts are happening and why prices are insanely high but the real reason is we have no power to give. They jack prices up like 1000-2000% in the snap pf a finger forcing big users to shut down production just to maintain stability. All big users have a limit of where power price and profitability clash and they know it and they fully take advantage of that. Wind, hydro and solar are junk in reality and co-gen and gas are good however cant get pipelines to them due to green initiatives...... no more pipelines lol, kind of ironic as its supposed to be the green way but green is holding it up....... a lot of brilliant minds at work on that one. You and the majority dont know $hit about nothing but flap your gums about it like EV's are awesome and work so well but thats not the issue with them. Once the EV is in the masses those provinces and state around us will not have available power to give and well be spinning our wheels still going nowhere in Alberta. Chew on that for a bit. Im sure teslas are fun to drive and would be cool in the city but they are not the world savior, not even close, they arent even possible if too many people have them...... unless you have billions to donate for the plants and connections to get them built.

Friends got a Toyota RAV4 EV in November and talking with them they are getting 40miles of Batrery life before it goes back to gas ... 550 miles on fuel and battery

Cost was almost 60k and waiting list is six months; but over all they are liking it, they have set up a 220 charger unit at there house as well off a welder plug.. now 16k on unit and no problems

What trades would install high voltage transmission lines, substations, Utility scale wind/solar, DC fast chargers, and level 2 home chargers ?

Electricians only do some of that, you're confusing two very different trades.....

Had no idea the system was that bad. The problem with the net zero house is it's an illusion. As long as the actual house doesn't emit the emissions it's ok, doesn't matter if the houses overall footprint is actually worse. Take Blatchford in Edmonton for example they are not putting natural gas to most houses there, instead they have a 6" or 8" high pressure gas line to heat water to heat the homes, so they appear to be net zero, because they don't factor in all that gas usage. It's a joke, and it's going to fail horribly. They are going to freeze and be broke trying to heat with electricity to make up for the lack of what the heating lines do, never mind how much more all the crap is jumping the price of the homes.

Ya exactly, were headed down an unknown path following an outdated GPS that we call gov't. It assures you were headed in the right direction but in actuality we are going down a road that dead ends at a 1000' cliff, soon everyone will pile into the end of that road and force everyone off the cliff to doom

Yea so much of the new building code is nothing but a waste of money driving up cost of new builds. Like HRV, it's absolute garbage and in smaller bathrooms it's causing huge mold problems because they don't put fans in.

If I build again to stay, I won't be following any of the garbage I don't want. At the end of the day there is nothing they can do about it. No need for new home warranty either, just another scam. The scariest part is how many people believe in it and think all these things are good.

See how he picked yesterday for windmill power output..

Has to be the only day this spring I could spray with out wind at all.. we have many many more wind days than not..
Can be spun as to what outcome your after

This is the 30 day output for a wind farm about 20minutes north of our farm....
97 GWh is 97,000 MWh or 97,000,000 kWh.

Lot more days with wind than not looking at that..

Building a wind farm south of us near elk water, same ridge as yours for wind
Yes but thats one tiny wind farm producing a whopping 20 MW lol, 3 natural gas 20 cylinder cat engines spinning generators makes that, and without astronoimical maintenance costs, that blackspring ridge can produce 300MW at full capaciity, so the fact its producing 20 is a joke lol

By the looks of that Alberta's power output already cant keep up with demand? And the Best thing to do is fire up a few more solar/wind farms?

**** me, better stock up on candles!
