Automotive window tinting

Is it legal to tint the drivers and pass front side windows??????......As an inspecter in BC it is not legal......You will have your vehicle towed from a check stop or made to remove it on the side of the road......Not money well spent....only me 2 cent worth....

No it's not legal but it's just an equipment violation ticket like having a burnt out tailight.......

We were given a warning last summer and had to bring the vehicle back with tint removed or it would turn into a ticket. We complied but will be re-tinting in the future.

I personally found it cheaper at the time at least to just pay the fine then ever peeling the windows..... and much less hassle. I think it was around $57 the last time I got one a couple years ago.

Or just don't tint front sides..... voila, the cops never say two words to you about it!
