Anyone have these on their RV or trailer, the reviews are pretty bad online, drain both tanks,or doesn't switch good, doesn't completely empty bottle before switching,or leaks etc. Otherwise not having to switch bottles at 3 am sounds good!
I have gauges on my thanks. I still use the valve. When the one the valve is pointed at runs out, my sensor turns red so you know it's empty. As long as you fill tank before next trip you will never run out.I have one on my trailer and never use it as I only open one bottle at a time. When I run out, i swing the valves and switch tanks. That way there’s no doubt in my mind how much propane I have left. Having to switch tanks at 3am is a PITA for sure, but what would be worse is running out completely at 3am on both because I didn’t know both were empty. If there was a reliable way to check tank levels at a glance it would be much better, but no such thing.

Not sure. Looks like this. But I only go by the valve anyways. When it turns red the tank it's pointing at is empty. I fill that tank before next trip and all good. What kind of gauges do you have? Do they actually read the liquid level or just the vapour pressure?
