Hello everyone, I'm looking to put tires on my 2004 Canam Outlander XT 400. I was wondering what the best mud tires would be to put on it. I'm thinking of putting some 27" 's on but I'm not sure what kind to get. Any info. or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Because it is a 400 I would put on 26" outlaws. Install a clutch kit and it will kick ass in the mud and trails. Those tires in a 26" will out perform most other 27-28" tires.

I put 26" mudlites on my little 400XT. nice and light, turns 'em no problem without a clutch kit.

You'll want to be wary of power robbing tire weight. I'm surprised no one recommended Zillas. Much like the Mud Lites, they are light as hell but are also considerably more aggressive and still perform OK on the trails.

Zillas for my vote, Great all round tire for muddy trail riding and light

I had Swamp lites on my Cat, I found they were a good all around tire.
