It was shaping up not too bad here but had some rain a couple days ago in town, not sure what happened in the bush. We don’t usually get going here for another month anyway so probably best to be patient for a while. Hopefully can get out first week of Dec to have look.
Pass on the good news when you know. You're gonna be a rock star Lol

Is atlas still open for staging and how’s the snow

It is open now but haven’t been out yet for a snow update. Had a couple feet down lower in this last storm but with very little before that it’s probably still sketchy until you gain some elevation. Grooming hasn’t started yet but soon.

Went out for a quick tour today. What we have will make for a good base but it’s all tracked out...minus a few secret spots! Definitely need a good dump of snow but if anyone is looking for a great trail ride with little tykes the groomer has been out. Unless you’re coming with a sea can full of a-arms stay out of the logged out areas until at least the turnoff to Window.

Thank you for the update

We have never been here and maybe this will be the next trip ...so I have a couple questions

Is there a map of the area staging at atlas? Assuming I find it :)

If there are avalanche risks , where are they located.. possible that a map might mark/show them?

thanks in advance

You might be able to find a map either on the club page here, the Crowsnow riders FB page or at RPM auto parts in Blairmore. I haven’t found any avy concerns when riding the groomed trails more if you are back in the bowl areas. When I can make it work I don’t mind taking people out that aren’t familiar with the area, shoot me a PM if you’re interested.

Went for a rip up Atlas today, still about 4-5’ short on snow and not much fresh stuff but did find a bit in the trees. Anyone looking for a trail ride is in for a treat they are in stellar shape right now.

I am planning on riding York and/or Atlas areas at the end of the month, unless there is no snow by then. Anyone been out lately?

Rode York last Saturday. Parking lot is dirt. Trail till the bridge was ok but there was a few spots on the road that were dirt so by now with this warm weather it’s probably worse. Past that it was good.
Might ride atlas this weekend.
