The red stuff works either kind I have used both

why not just run chaincase oil ??

Cool.....seen these threads go 15 pages a few times!
I run synthetic these days, but had an Yamaha Exciter back in the day with 15,000+ k's on stock chain & bearings. Used ATF (any kind I happened to have at the farm) for over 10 yrs with 0 problems
