Sorry I think you may have misinterpreted my reply. I agree with you on this country being a Christian country founded by Christians. I guess I shouldn't have used the reply with quote and just replied. I did not mean to offend you by any means and I apologize if I did. You sir are not an azzhat Solo is.

please....we used to think the world was flat too. religion is a choice, sure it was popular and people believed religion is what separated intelligence from heathenism. so you think dinosaurs were something the devil created against christianity? evolution should not be taught in schools? that is some of the most blinded religous bullch!t there is. denying education that science has proven because a christian god says it isn't so....believe it if you want, but don't you dare tell me or my children that's the way it is.

No this is not what I wanted, thats why I usually say out of these arguements because there are so many differant opinions on it, what I think or my personal beliefs should not matter to others, I gave my opinion on how things used to be and the road canada is on now.
Canada used to have a strong christian background of many differant faiths (prodistants, catholics ECT), Never worked on Sunday that sort of background is what I mean.
I remember 20 years ago saying the lords prayer and god save the queen before the class started, and there were a half a dozen JW in the class, every morning they chose to leave the room before this was carried out, not once were they forced to listen to the lords prayer, but every week that same family came to our house, and preached to us even after my father asked them not to, but not once did we treat them any differant in school, they were our friends
Yes religion or any belief is a personal choise that shound not be forced onto others, I have no idea what your talking about, i think the devil created the dinosaurs or heathins for that matter, sounds like something out of the movies based in the southern states, If your referring that religions taken to serious can "blind facts" than I agree with you 150% , lots of wars fought over beliefs.
Christianity was a way of life for thousands of years, passed on from generation to generation, i'm tired of door to door religion sales, and hearing about the "christmas hunt" telling me how it should be.
Is christianty the right path?, is athiests the right path? like I said my personal beliefs should not matter.
I want my kids to be raised with the same values that was taught to my great great grandfather, great grandfather,grandfather, father and to me, and I don't want some "new canadian" to take those values away by passing laws.

Ever hear of the phrase 'new canadian'? I should of said canadian with deep family roots, instead of pure blood, it was just a phrase.
Nobody is stopping me from celebrating xmas YET, if it starts with banning xmas greetings on busses, whats next banning xmas lights and merry xmas banners on my own house, because my neighbour is offended by it. I hope you understand my point.

when dinosaurs were first discovered and the theory of evolution became popular, the catholic church said dinosaur bones were created by the devil to cause people to question the validity of creation by god. for many centuries after and into today, some catholic schools refuse to acknowledge the theory of evolution.
I have no problem with others' beliefs, as ridiculous as they may be....but I also think that saying merry Christmas is okay not because of the story someone made up but because it is a way of promoting good will amongst men. there are fundemental truths in every religion, and if you choose not to take the good from each and believe that all men are created equal then that is also a choice and you are within your rights as a human to do so.
this ashole guy is protesting because he thinks he should not have to see these religious messages at any time by a government or institution that he is required by law to pay for in the way of taxes, instead of just choosing to ignore it. this is our politically correct society gone wild.

What does it mean to be a Canadian anymore?
We bend over and take it from anyone who doesn't agree with customs and tradition's that have been celebrated by this countries communities for hundreds of years. There obviously have been non-Christian's in this country since its inception, but why is it these individuals are allowed to contest everyone else's beliefs. I am not religious, I don't care that the jehad's want to build temple's in the communities in our cities, but don't go and claim it is a human rights issue that you take personal insult to someone else's religous beliefs.

I think the meaning of the Christian country is that this country weather you believe in it or not was built (laws) on Christian values... but you can see how that's shoting oneself in the foot... same Christian values that said everyone is welcome allows other to stand up and say "i wanns sue you". last i saw, i think on population Christians are about to loose the majority vote (50%)! But until things change , like a cival war or someone else like china takes over, Canada due to our laws and its foundation will always be said to be a Christian country if that makes sence?
Thanks to this complainer I went out and made sure all my Christmas Cards said Merry Christmas! Just saying...
Wonder what would happen if a white christian man went back to the middle ease and complained about their beliefs... how well would he'd be treated?

There are douchebags everywhere like this solo character that dislike something that someone is doing. Getting all outraged about it seems like such a waste of time and effort. Ignore the a-hole and he will go away, hopefully with a large bill for wasting the courts time. There is a huge difference legally between a having stuff of a particular religion on government owned property and having it on private property.
Do I think this guy is wasting time and money? Yes. Is it worth it getting all upset and angry at the immigrant population (Solo was born and raised in Saskatoon)? No.
Just as a side note, I make a point of greeting everyone with Merry Christmas During the season. I have never once had anyone say anything negative in return, so I'm not sure where all there pissed off non Christians are.
Sun Media, just like its big brother Fox in the States feels that it's job is to make sure that as many people as possible are outraged at any given time.

I feel like using a few more tax dollars, and going to the human rights tribune claiming that his being offended by the merry Christmas on buses and prayer at meeting offending him, offends me.
I personally do not believe that this person is offended by the greeting,or the prayer, but that the city council will not bow to his demands, and do as he says. It is a publicity stunt to get more attention, and I believe it is how he makes his living.

This would all be solved if Canada didnt let every person that wants citizenship here in. They believe they have the right to say what goes on in a country they immigrated to if you want your own culture and religion the airport, or boat is there take it back to the place you have originated from if not adapt to our culture. Now if we had a politician with any kind of balls he would come in tell this guy to pack his bags, he is being deported end of story maybe give him a military escort to the airport or boat just to prove a point.There now I bet you see alot of people shutting there mouths about the way are culture is. If this happened in the us this guy would be shot. Yes he is from Saskatoon where is his family from, we are going to allow second or third generation immigrants to change the way our country is?? Just like if I was born in India and my parents also where born in India but my grandparents moved there from Canada and I try and change there religion and culture what would happen??? Im assuming not good things.
