April Conditions 2015

OK I will start the month off.
I have been riding Renshaw annually since 1982.
This was the worst year ever for snowfall/depth and the crazy weather, i.e.. warmth and rain. Just wound down the season last week, which is about one month earlier than normal. Hope this is just a one off and not global warming!

with conditions this year I didn't think we would have an April thread. house is full and the guys are off to ride some snow. will give a report tonite after they are back.

I can't comment on McBride, but for us Southern riders I rode Frisby on Saturday and Sunday.

Trail was decent, a little bit of water and road, but the actual hill was terrible. Rain turned into snow at 4200ft, so that was nice, but riding was boring to say the least. Not near enough snow

Is there any snow in the Mcbride valley this morning? We are thinking of heading over to ride tomorrow and Friday.

still grooming Lucille and belle but renshaw is done. trail was in not to bad of shape and about 8-10 inches of fresh. they are off to spirit today.
parking at the parking lots at Lucille and belle, a bit of gravel for 200 hundred yards but good after that.
renshaw parking at 2 km still, might be a bit further today. no trailers past 2 as there is no room to turn around.
snow on the ground this am but just a skiff in backyard.

We road Renshaw today. LOTS of untouched powder. We only needed to go 15 minutes from the cabin to play in untouched valleys with 2 plus feet of soft beautiful pow. Best day of our season so far!!

I am looking to join a group up with anyone planning on riding April 6,7 and 8 in mcbride. I ride a 2009 rmk 800 dragon and am an experienced rider with all gear and avi training. Would be great if I could join up with some other riders.

Can't have whoops if there is no snow. Last week we went up and it wasn't bad cause it's all ice with a bit of snow cover, so no big whoops.
