I was just wondering how much they weight?

I don't think that if your serious about turbo'ed 4strokes, weight is in the equation. You don't ride one of these because they are light, you ride them because that is what you choose to ride. If weight comes into your thoughts of a sled, your not in the right camp when it comes to sleds. There is alot more to these, weight isn't it.

BTW, i'ed put one of them in my shop before one of them 2stroke, any make.

It has over 200 hp and upgradable to 250-340 depending on your appetite. 50lb weight loss is real easy with a few components replaced. Ride one stock and you will understand why its like driving a diesel truck versus a gasser.
Yamaha will have a fleet of Sidewinders on Demo throughout Mountain communities all winter long starting next weekend. If your serious please check with your local Yamaha dealer about your opportunity.

I grabbed this pic off the sidewinder FB page it was full of fuel with stock muffler on so as heavy as you can possibly get. The stock muffler is your quickest weight savings, then battery, another big one is hood/air intake modification the hood assembly feels like they put lead in it typical Yamaha quality tho solid. I can't wait to get mine in the hills and push that 250hp number on pump gas!

So compared to doo or cat , 100 lbs heavier? Dropping 50 would get things interesting

75lbs heavier, stock m9000 to stock m8000.

So aftermarket pipe on the sidewinder drops 15lbs.

So now your within 50 lbs.

You could put a lightweight can in the m8000 and also lose 15 pounds, but say you put on a turbo it would probably be a wash.

So turbo to turbo you are within 50lbs.

If your a 2 stroke guy that likes e start thats a 25-30lb adder. Brings you within 25lbs.

I am curious how much money it would take to get them within 25lbs of the pull start model.

Cold air intake would be on my radar, cut that really heavy air intake assembly out. (I'd leave the headlight.)
