Sent in my Stompers for warranty a while ago (they leaked)

Was told that I can get the new Stomper 2.0s as replacement which I was excited about as the stompers were on the cold side.

Now the 2.0s have been delayed a few times and I won't get it till December... I was then given the option to get the redlines instead.

Can't find a local shop around who carries them, and would like to try them on before getting a set...

Are they too stiff to drive in? do they compare to a snowboard boot?

I often have cold feet so the extra warmth is a welcome option .. I also hated the laces as I came from a snowboard boot with BOA on it and didn't actually mind the stiffness on the snowboard boot all that much... But it sure is nice to put on your boots at home and drive to the trailhead with them.

Anyways, any first hand experience with the redlines is welcome

Thanks

I tried them on and they where a bit stiffer but not to bad. I liked the feel of them. My wife has the Klim radium boot which is a stiff boot and she also tried the redlines on and said that they where not near as stiff as her klims.

Yes they are new this year. I tried them on in Edmontons show but something just didn't feel right, not sure if it was the stiffness or what, but figured I would leave them for the year. Nothing wrong with my stompers anyways.

I bought a pair at the sled show as well. I wore them once while snowblowing and on one buckle the excess strap that sticks out of the buckle broke off within five minutes. They need some sort of way to contain the excess strap. When you walk, if the insides of your boots hit each other it catches the strap and rips it off.
Other then this they seem very warm and I find them comfortable.

I tried on the stompers, size 12. They were good in length but too narrow. I then tried on the Red Lines and found they were wider and fit my feet better. I am usually A size 12 when I buy running shoes.
