anyone running the ecodiesel?

That is almost 41 mpg. A lot of small cars have no hope of achieving that. You sure it wasnt with a tailwind? and downhill?

My wife's focus averages between 40 and 50 mpg regularly on the highway depending on the wind and area etc. My '16 dmax averages between 16 and 22 mpg comparatively with a best of 26mpg one time between Strathmore and the hat.

Talking to guys I know that have ecodiesels 30mpg plus is easily attainable. Will be interesting to see how much the reflashes of the ecm affect this.

I would think that that kind of economy would be rare among the vehicle line (Ecoboost PU) but not impossible from time to time. When I look at my car which has a 2.5 naturally aspired Nissan Altima, I routinely get 5.9 L/100 on the drive to Fort McMurray and 6.5 between Edmonton and Calgary. My diesel on the other hand seems to vary by 2 to 3 liters depending on day, wind and maybe its mood. Still happy with it overall as that puts it between 12 to 15 l per 100 kms on the highway empty. About 24-26 towing my fifth trailer.

I imagine the EcoDiesel should be able to do 30 MPG pretty easy on the highway particularly if you stick close to the limit (100 to 110).

To the OP. I upgraded my wife's ride a few months ago. Was faced with the decision Eco Diesel or hemi. Went with the hemi for her. It gets phenomenal file milage with the 8 speed tranny and .307 gear ratio. Won't be as good as the Diesel but the Diesel is what a 5000$ upgrade and is going to cost more long term in maintenance. And the hemi tows the exact same as the Diesel capacity wise. 2017 grand Cherokee. A friend of mine has the Diesel and says it lacks power. I wouldn't rule out the gas job

Seriously, i find it hard to believe you have gotten that kind of mileage but my buddy and i had the same 5.9 Cummins and i got 18-19 mpg and he got 24-27 so i guess it happens.

Bro in laws 05 5.9 gets consistant 25-30mpg with me behind the wheel at 120-130. I couldn't believe how good that thing is on fuel.

Really on a Titan guy I know said loves it, but who knows

I wouldn't count myself as a Titan guy but I bought one last year and have been very happy with it.
I've run lots of Dodge/Cummins and a few Fords but just didn't want a 3/4 ton truck that would be driven mainly empty, so I took the chance on the Nissan/Cummins, so far it's good.

My brother in law drives my other eco diesel. I consistently get 200-300kms more on a tank fuel than he does. He thinks he’s the worlds best driver. His truck has already needed the brakes done and his tires need replacing 20000 kms before mine. So maybe you guys getting shiittty fuel mileage should learn how to drive.

Under what circumstances would I possibly have something to gain by lying about what the truck got or what it is I get for milage. I can only go off what the computer said in the dash.
