... From the drive to CC... took it last summer. It's so odd being there I made a special trip just to take some pictures.

I think anyone going to Cataract Creek has driven by it (unless there's another road?) It's just west of Longview....

I love photography.... I was actually a little annoyed people seemed to like this picture so much, when I work so much harder to do lightning photography lol

That is an INCREDIBLE picture! Beautiful. Sorry to annoy you further. ;)

No worries.... and thanks! The avatar picture was far more technically difficult.... I chased that storm across Calgary to get the shot... and it turned out right over my truck. I also made a time-lapse from the same location that worked out pretty cool.

Like everyone else, I think it is a striking picture. Do you have a website where you keep some of the other shots? I mean if you think this is an OK shot but not one of you best, I am really curious... Love this one

Not that simple of an answer.... basically I own my own server (techdog.ca) for my small business. When I want to share new stuff I put them on there temporarily for my brother to look at ... most of my photography is macro/storm/or fireworks related. But I don't currently have anything special there.

Here is one of my fave. macro shots.... oddly taken on a snowmobile trip as well, during some rare downtime in the cabin. www.techdog.ca/downloads/2.jpg (24 megapixel / large @ 6000x4000) I definitely prefer lightning photography because there's so much "luck" involved. When doing storms you can't just set up whereever you want and take as many as you want..... you are at the mercy of the storm, and it might be 1am. (I've woken up at 2am to thunder, and hopped in my truck to go catch some lightning.)

Do you sell your work at all? I'd certainly be interested in the train car.

Nah, just a hobby I enjoy. Gets me out of the house.... in some cases gives me an adrenalin rush. You can have the train car.... let me see if I can find the original/raw image....

Okay.. so while looking for one picture I (of course) got sidetracked and found some I'll share. It's a random smattering of the things I like to photograph.

Have a look, I picked about a dozen....... also the one time-lapse video I mentioned. (They are fun too). I'd only ask that if you decide to look, be patient they are hosted on my home server. I have kickass download speeds, but average upload speeds and all the files are 6000x4000 (at least normally). So they might be a bit slow to download/view. Also, if you look...... let me know if/what you like. I usually have the RAW images as well... (although not always).

And..... lunch time! :) *starving*
