Anyone going to Hasler this weekend? trying to organize a group trip but most of the guys I know are broke down or working, hoping to go sat and sun and learn a little about mountain riding, never tried it before, just getting back into it after a 10 yr layoff, got my avy kit, sleds tuned well, just need some people to take a newb under their wing;). My buddies have all been braggin about the conditions and I am very eager to try this out

still no real base up here. wait for the cold weather to turn then the snow will settle and its smooth sailing. the fluff will go into a nice 1-2 foot base and we are off to the races.

thanks for the tip, my buddies who frequent it said it's touch and go as well but with the right knowledge there is good riding to be had, that's why I thought I'd ask:d

Went to Powder King this weekend. It looked like the bridge across the creek at Calazon was closed due to the new highway construction. The water was flowing, so Calazon might only be accessable from Silver Sands. Only about 3 feet of snow out there so I won't be going back for a while.

had fun today, first time in the mountains, trail in was pounded to hell but after that it was fun, could use some more snow, but it was a good learning curve for me, realized I want an m8 and will be looking into that over the next while, I can counter steer the old tank but something a little lighter with more suspenson woulda made for an easier day on me:d, all in all had fun though and that's all that matters:beer:
