You want 8200 rpm your leaving a lot of performance on the table get some lighter weights or some cutler adjustable

The Dyno charts from Bikeman doesn't support the 8200 rpm. In fact peak hp was achieved at 8050 but was very close from 7950 to 8150 at 8200 the hp was down 1 and sharply decreased after that. Now we are talking very small numbers and things you cant feel by the seat of your pants, running at 8200 is fine but any amount of increase is a negative. AC calls for 81-82. At 8050 I would not say there is a lot of performance left on the table rather it's running spot on. I see in your avatar you have a new C-Tec I am not sure where the shift rpm is on those engines.

Cat says 8100-8300rpm. Soo im running a Speedwerx Stage 2 setup and says the same rpm as stock. Iv felt by the seat of the pants that 8200 is ripping good. Huh maybe ill load it up a little and try to get it closer to 8050
Oh and iv been running the stock gearing on a 16LTD 153. I`m installing the BDX21 49 GEARS tomorrow and will post results in a couple weeks after going to Revy on Nov23.

Speedwerx should be able to tell you where to run their kit at, rpm wise. They are all different. Jaws loves scream, BDX/SSI loves to grunt. Leave it up to the manufactures R&D.

Youll love the gearing change

X2 on the gear up. I just had mine out in revy and the track speed is awesome for climbing, but it still has enough grunt down low. I was running the 21/49 gearing, SSI y-pipe and their mountain springs with 72 grams in the primary pulling 8100

soo ya after 2 days in revy with nice 2ft powder! My sled ran awesome! 2016 m8000 LTD 3" Speedwerx stage 2 and clutching. Added the 21/49 gears. Yes the sled rips and clutches were performing great, belt temps were normal temp, could touch it after a big climb and not cook your hand. The engagement is a little high from speedwerx but not jerky at all. I have to use the brake to help walk it out of a stuck, easy to get used to. It falt out rips. We were pulling a hillclimb with a 850 Doo 154, 2016 Polaris turbo 155 and another polaris turbo 155. We rode killed it!! we conqored the climb after a couple pulls and the turbos did not. Our naturally aspirated sleds were kicking butt seriously!! Probably because we were wipe open the whole run, not letting off when things got rough... LOL. Yes the gearing is a good change. Thanks everyone.

Glad you like it. I've been extremely happy with mine so far as well, I was pulling about 42 mph track speed last weekend. Not bad out of a stock engine
