Food for thought... on 850 Doo... there was a dealer/shop did some dyno testing..
stock 850 155 hp
Silber @ 5lbs 204 Hp on pump
Boost it @ 7lbs 201 Hp with mix

I know this will stir chit .. but ..

This doesn’t seem that ridiculous to me general rule was always 7-10hp gain per psi boost you could have a significantly bigger more efficient turbo set up and should be and to get more hp out of pump gas issue was the detonation factor.

Maxwell built his own kit. Not many people doing that these days. But it would be cool to see more of it forsure...

I didn't know that, it is nice to see some still do as it can be an expensive learning curve even for experienced builder's.

:specool:

I heard that a certain blue go fast decal help's....LOL

"skidon't" used to be on this site a few years back.
Him and about 5 of his friends all do their own builds.
All use 800 and 1000 cat motors.
Did their own chassis mods also.
I used to ride with them when they started modding sleds.
Big bore kits, big bore kits and nitrious then it was on to turbos.
Even slepped a 50 shot on my XP for two years.
There used to be pistons, motors, clutches and a whack of other parts in the trailer. Lots of overnight fixes were done!
They spent a ton of cash learning and did not run low boost sleds. We towed a lot of sleds out of the hills.
Retarded good riders, willing to crash a sled before loosing a race through the trees. Pretty sure they all run low boost now for reliability.
Some of the moderators on here knew them as the "Young Guns" and "The Apprentices"........right Ric/Curtis/Ron.

Maxwell would like to ride with these guys, they mostly ride Revy and Sicamous area, I say Maxwell would get spanked, badly.

I rarely ride with or see them any more but if some one wants cat boosting info PM me and I will give you Matt's number.
Last doo Matt had was an 05, won't touch another one. He is the guy that convinced me to get the Alpha after he test drove it.
They still have one full carbon chassis turbo.
Should have brought that to weigh off - supposed to be 360# with empty tank. It looks like a true old school xp full carbon mod- beat up, duct taped gauges and goes like stink, only non cat motor sled (doo motor).....will never be for sale.
This sled anihilated my G4.
I would say there are still a fair number building their own sleds they just don't bother with site....not much they need to learn.
These guys have not bought into the 4 stroke game yet but might one day.

A&E was ripping sleds on the dyno a couple weeks ago.. Ty is getting into Turbos so fired up the dyno and did some pulls to confirm HP, range and tune from there.. I'm going pump gas 5lb so i don't have to keep fixing is my hope..

The Olers and crew are always building some mean machine...See what Oler1234 has in store for this winter..
