Anyone see the first season of licence to drill, where they filmed the Nabors rig that was a fly in rig? They used a helicopter called the moose, that was a bad as heli! I built lots of stuff for that rig and watch them fly in some stuff for it. My welding truck made it onto tv but not me lol.

This is what we used for lifting the nabors rig. Russian MI-26. I too was involved in the design of that rig in its early years of conception. We also designed and built their heli-portable coil tubing unit, nitrogen pumpers, service rig, slickline units, e-line, capillary tbg unit. Was airbourne enery soutios before nabors . Fun times.

I've been in and around Slave Lake a few times when fires are raging up there. Always used to camp at the Marten River Provincial Park, one year we were on the beach and dad was watching a CL-215 doing circles about the beach, then he blew his horn a few times and came down on the water not far out (well it was but you know) from the beach/swim area and filled up. Was cool to see.

Next day dad, my uncle, and I went and found the airport/fire base and actually got a full tour of a CL-215.
