um would u sand it down smooth then apply the gel coat... have u ever delt with gel coat before is it easy to deal with? expensive? is it a spray? i would have to spray the whole body right? and for paint? I was planning on keeping the upper, hull gloss black and the bottom half gloss white and keep the pole lime green how does tht sound? how do i apply the paint, on the gel coat or with???

Gelcoat is kinda trick to work with I would go at it with some 240grit then 400 wet on a block get the damage fixed up and hall it to a body shop for paint they can do the small touch painting it the cheap part. 1200 grit is for polishing don't use it and soda blasting is there there hard to clean up it get every where 7 year at A big rig shop

So u dnt suggest gel coat then? So you would sand it up, what would u use to patch up the small cracks alot of it is paint chip from previous owner and his paint job... would u use body filler?? When painting how would u seal up the paint??? how much would u think the body shop would charge for paint job on a small thing like this???

my new to me is a 97 sxi 750......I dont have a picture and it is at the media blasters.....sorry after it is blasted I will give it a coat of sealer and paint it the new mustang blue. it is very bright and returf the deck in a corvette yellow or something even brighter. this 750 has the duel carbs and a ride plate so it should real rip!

I will pass the 550 down to the kid and keep, the 750 for myself.......shhhhhh, dont tell him.........that is why Im not keeping the 750 at home because if he knows I have another one......he will know he is getting the 550 lol
