Hey everybody, I'm headin to Edmonton at the end of the week for an interview with Schlumberger as a Field Specialist. Anybody on here ever worked for them or have any stories about them I'd like to hear 'em just to help me prep for the interview.
That being said be familiar with their, policies, values, where you see yourself in 5,10 years and your attitude towards safety.
They will ask why do you want to work for Schlumberger, Id say probably because they did invent the electric log and have been at the forefront of oilfield technology ever since and I want to work for a company that is constantly evolving. Also that there is an opportunity to work overseas if you are into more money and a better climate both steady work and temp
At the end of the interview make sure you have some questions to ask the HR person like " What do you like about working for Schlumberger"
did u work for them? its kinda confusing trying to figure out what they actually expect u to do, only oil field exp i have is driving a tanker truck in the winter. They sent me a little homework form thing to do before the interview where they want you to research some of the divisions. Since you need a eng. tech. degree i'm expecting ur not just a grunt on a frac or anything.
I could give you a number to a buddy of mine he is a Field tech been for years and one of the best too. He is moving into the office in the new year. PM me if you want his number
