a Cat dude has come over……heehaw!

Yes, the XMX is by far the best with this new format. The '10 was great out of the box as was the 11, and the 12, but this 2013 rocks!!

Glad you a happy camper stuglin….:D

my buddy's XM kept getting louder as he broke it in

turns out the temp sensor was backing out of the can so it was just leaking exhaust and sounding loud :)

I haven't noticed mine getting louder, but I'm only sitting at 320 km. Getting there though. A couple guys I've rode with laugh a little when I tell them my Etec hums up the hill. It doesn't sound quite like a normal 2 stroke or 4 stroke. It just hums haha. That's what I get for running the stock muffler I spose. Looking at going with the Thing next year. Built in muff pot is a huge draw.

Yup. If I hadn't seen ferniesnow's 2012 with The Thing on it I would never have known about it. Choosing to ride my XM stock for a year has it's drawbacks... like no hot lunch!

Nope, not worried at all. Just wanted to run stock this season to see what I'm going to change next year. So far it's the Thing and new shocks all around (probably ZBroz). These "X" shocks feel like they were set up for a 14 year old girl.

I went with SLP and although I have not actually cooked any raw meat in the muffpot, for warming things up you just need 3-4 big pulls where you're WOT.
