Any real fixes working for polaris 800;s

I have 2 buddies with 09 rmk's and they have both put the fix in and have good luck. My sisters 09 has 1600 +/- on it and it had a lean burn down on the pto side. Just wondering if a power commander is the way to go or if you can rewrite the original computer

Recommendation from MTNTK is their kit and reflash to 08 or April 10. No PC required. I have done 4 this year and they are all running great.
