Cop told me years ago that if someone has broke into house make sure they don't get out wounded.(dead) inside house.
Be hell for a few weeks for yourself but it's self defense .
Take it for what's it worth .
Told my Dad the same thing when our shop got robbed. First shot in the chest and second in the roof. Then reverse the order when the cops arrive. Self defence.

all depends, courts systems are a joke, it all depends what crown you get and how much effort they want to put in, I went through some B.S over the last couple years, someone pulled a gun on me and threatened to shoot me and he thought he had the right to, I called 911 and cops responded, the guy told the cop that he was going to shoot me, he was arrested, 2 years through the court systems with 7 different charges and got a 500.00 fine, I filed a complaint with the firearms registries and all they told me was that they could do nothing because of how the crown proceeded. So it does not matter what the cops do its what the crown does. o ya out of the 500.00 fine I got 160.00 for being a witness, would of got another 160.00 but was to pissed to file my expenses

so if your going to shoot just cover your tracks

Crazy to get 5 years for just scaring and no shots fired!

Man what a place we live in. May be less deaths by firearm than the states but the criminals sure know they can run wild.

your right but we got what we asked for... even if we said nothing at all we got what we asked for... i mean the courts... no one stands up for the cops we always say there wrong... cop punches a guy or kicks him... we all jump on the cops bashing band wagon... i sure as S*** hope my kids never pick that job ...i got punched by a cop22 years ago... i had it coming... i didn't cry or complain just saying... now look at it... cops are powerless n so are teachers... we built this system so i guess we can't complain but we can start to give teachers at least some power back... they have no recourse... can't even hand out zero's they spend more time with our kids then we working people due... they raise our kids let support them... i feel way more sorry for teachers in todays world then anyone... they just turn a blind eye to everything cause the can't do anything and the kids know it... i mean i got in trouble by a teacher my parents kicked my ass now a kid gets in trouble and lots of parents want the teacher fired! LMAO... im sure most of use remember school yard fights and after school fights??? Boys thats what we did... now no one fights and when one does happen the cops are called for assault charges (im not talking bad fight just good old fashioned fist da cuffs)... makes no sence to me... in trying to be a just, fair and free society we kinda screwed things up IMHOP... sorry for the rant... oh ya Senior Tredeau didn't help... God help us if his son gets in! Just saying...

and make sure to talk about it on a public forum before you do it.......

I could afford a new sled i could afford the replacement insurance.

Just asking a question. Going to jail for 5 years is not worth $350 and the $500 deductible. Even the $14,000 with no insurance.

Even if i could pull a gun on someone on my property and only write a report i still would be worried there would be problems down the way like next time they have a gun? Then getting shot over a sled is that really worth it?

How about stun guns?

Sent from my iPad using

Prohibited weapon in Canada, plan on spending all your money in the courts and get a lifetime firearms ban.

Canada does not want you defending yourself or property even though the RCMP admit they can't do the job for you. Look to the UK for where we are headed.

The hot topic is theft.....

Whats the penalty for pulling a gun on someone stealing your stuff?

Whats the penalty shooting a gun in city limits as a warning or vehicle disabling shot?
You don't actually expect any actual answers on this topic do you?
Nobody is going to put their azz on the line giving real answers to that, I don't believe there is any set penalties for any criminal act in the Canadian Injustice System.

Because after one claim, all theft stops?

The sad part is the thief is being exploited by someone else. Desperate for money is my guess. Needing drugs. Who in there right mind does a big crime like auto theft for a snowmobile or 2 unless they are crack heads ect. I don't imagine they bring in much money when sold to the bikers or whoever is the puppet master here. The whole thing is sad... That said I would rip the wings off a man if I caught him jacking my hard earned toys. :)
