Great thread. Always have been a racing enthusiast, and occasionally a competitor. Took a break for awhile, but sort of kept the interest satisfied while I got busy with other stuff. But, it's time to go racing again...

It's a hobby for me too. Mostly 100 foot shootouts but took it to Castrol twice. Ran 10.97@122 but have no bar. Have a Vortec YSi blower for next season, and plans for a roll bar.

Yes, the '69 is mine and the one that is more comfortable is hers. I never ever had any interest in all #'s matching cars. Still don't sort of. The '69 came along and was a decent deal and had a neat storyline. Mario Andretti autographed this car when he won the Indy 500 in 1969. The down side is that I would love to have a pro touring version of a '69, but I cannot tear this one apart to do it. The previous owner took a lot of pride in making sure it is all original. So that's the way it will stay.

Awesome race!! Had a couple moments there where I thought you were going to get tangled up (with guys getting loose around you). What did you end up finishing? Solid car!!!!

yes some instances were pretty damn close too clsoe for my liking haha, we started just about dead last as you can tell and finished in 4th i think it was i had no breaks left at the end of the race and was just costing to finish the race. i am one of the few cars running the GM crate engine in our series.

Great video leadfoot33! Are you guys following the ARCA rules? Looking at getting back into short track again, and there doesn't seem to be much information on what cars guys are running (ie SLM's?)

we are just under arcas tag we have a set of rules they are found here ARCA OK Tire Sportsman Series somewhere anyways LOL our series run lots of port city cars (offset chassis left hander only) or victory circle all custom some still run camaro front clips. otherwise you can get into street stocks which cost less and use regular cars ie camaros metric cars etc etc.

Despite not owning a race car, I do seem to spend more weekends at a track and more days in my garage building then I care to admit:

I don't own it, but it does live in my garage all winter, and I do look after it.
Best et is 9.48, best mph is 149 @ 6700lbs.

Again not mine, nor did I help in the build, just in the tuning, hasn't made it to the track, but will surely be a one hit wonder as it has no cage or bar.
