Any Preppers in the House?

So whilst my kids make fun of my Doomsday prepping fixation I seriously have fun prepping and preparing for whatever shall come by canning a variety of foods including deer, elk, fish, beef, chicken, soups and veggies.
As a young kid I had an obsession with Grizzly Adams, so the whole living off the grid was intriguing. We lived off grid for a while when we lived in Ymir. It was quite an awesome set up with wood heat, a pelton wheel and generator both gas and a Diesel if we really needed some oomph for power.

I'm interested in other's prepping, or preparing.

In a Shtf situation, there is no food. Grocery store shelves will be empty in three days. If you have food, crazy marauders will shoot you for your food. Guns will defeat a bow and arrow.

Bow and arrows are silent tho. At least you can hunt in silence and other hunters won’t hear your shoot. Therefore they can’t come a take your meat.

Yup I dig it! Love my bow. We have some pretty awesome wing dogs for bird hunting. I Love fishing and foraging too!

I may have some ammo stock piled also, I shoot weekly and reload. 90% of the red meat I eat is wild that I kill. Love the outdoors, fishing, hunting etc.

i would think you are always better off being as self sufficient as you can. getting out and doing is way more satisfying than watching someone on TV. great idea to store long term food, and supplies. and to learn the skills to stay alive when civilization shuts down. water procurement is going to be vital as well as staying warm, getting enough to eat, and shelter from the elements. u-tube is a great resource as well as outdoor training. the way things are going now, may be needed sooner than later.

Momma what PSE bow are you shooting? I’m a bow shooter and hunter myself and really enjoy shooting, it’s a great sport and a lot of fun. My wife also shoots as well.

always a good idea to be on the lookout for food supplies on sale, as they will only keep getting more expensive, canned good last a long time, as well as most of the dry goods you use. maybe learn a new skill every month or so. lots of info on internet.

Yeah if the whole world grid is down. But if it was a north america thing,civil war or what ever(Hence leaving the country.), bitcoin would be fine and the best way to get $ out of the country.

I thought about that, but then watched the WAlking dead episode where there was the zombie that morphed into having gills and was trapped down the well (probably snacking on Timmy)
