Generally speaking, most single pipe setups don't like to be "mixed and matched" with a can from another vendor. That said, I ran an NPP can with my SLP system on my m1000 with no issues or loss of hp (seat of the pants) when I cracked a weld one weekend. Got the SLP can fixed quickly as I hated the noise of the NPP can...

i actually like the sound of the slp pipe and can combo, but im sure if you used a high quality can it would proabbly work fine (jaws) or somthing along those lines. i dont like MBRP

One thing to keep in mind is a overly loud can can and will cause avys from the sound and harmonics

took ast 1 2 years ago, and sat in on a course last year videoing it, and they say noise is not a trigger....

Myth busters tried to make an avalanche using loud noises and couldn't make one happen. I trust them.

My dad ran an mbrp can with an slp setup on his 08 m8 because he didn't like the sound of the slp can. He ran that setup for 4 years without a problem whatsoever. Always sounded nice and crisp and never skipped a beat

I had the same setup but with an RKT head and it turned out that the slp did not match well with the head kit. I put a Skinz super Q can on as per RKT recommendation and now after a few miles it's starting to sound good. Not too loud but not as quiet as the slp. This is what my 09 sounds like now.

Their Can comes in a Stealth ( Quiet ) and a Loud Version.
A few years ago I ran a SLP and the THING Can on my 2003 RMK 800
I had the Stealth model,it was louder than the SLP,but not to loud.
More Throaty sound then the SLP Can,and I also had to add 3 Grams of Weight to the Primary.

That is telling me,It is making more Power than the SLP combo.
