Any issues with running BRP-9ES plugs in a 2012 Switchback?

Like the title says, curious cuz the GR9A-EG's look similar, minus the copper core.

I don't know if there is any issues, but my friend has a '12, I have a '11, and we were told the plugs shouldn't be interchanged. I use BR9's, his uses GR9's or whatever. Supposedly there is a difference. I wouldn't risk it unless totally stuck and had no other choice.

I was told they were a better plug to prevent fouling, but at 200miles I just changed mine due to them crapping out. I would like to go to a iridium as that is what I have in my 11 pro rmk and have ran them for the last two seasons without any problems.
