Any info on Nordegg area sledding

Hello Guys and Gals

Lookin for some info on where to ride in Nordegg....favorite spots...staging areas etc. Are there any maps of the area? Planning on staying at the Nordegg Lodge, any good? Can you sled out from the lodge parking lot. Any info would be great....

You can sled from the Nordegg Lodge. Take sleds like this so you don't wreck your good sleds.

if you go about 2.5 hours past Nordegg you will run into Golden, pick your area, unload and enjoy the snow!!

I agree with dabensmiller.
Went to nordegg a couple years ago, and am never going again. Can get the same riding around here. It was all ditch riding and nothing to exciting going on there.

Any mod's done to that Ultra? We have one of them, a 97 xlt, and had a 94 Trail as well.

about twenty mins west of nordegg is the sugar bowl, its a good spot if theres enough snow, and about 60 mins south on the trunk road is the stagging area for onion lake and ranger creek riding areas. Both of those are good if theres enough snow as well. The sugar bowl is kind of hard to get into so taking inexperienced riders isnt a good idea. you wont get into the sugar bowl for another month or 2 even if you are a good rider. especially with the winds we have had lately
but late season yes all that area is good.

There are some cut blocks to the north and east of nordegg that are a real good time. With good snowPlus north of harlick there is real good riding too.... Some wide pipelines that are a blast.

With all the snow we've had in the Red Deer/Rocky area, is Nordegg an option the last weekend in January 2014??? Staying at a place on Shunda Creek RD & from what I was able to find, there are a few trails to access from there...
